Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners has been buoyed by rumors that Chelsea are interested in a potential deal.

The Premier League season is coming to an end CHELSEA – and after a disappointing campaign, work can begin on acquiring players who could help the club develop next season.

Koopmeiners has had a phenomenal season with Atalanta, scoring ten goals and three assists in Serie A, and has quickly become one of the most sought-after players in Italian football.

In Europe’s top five leagues, the 26-year-old is part of an elite club of just two players who have scored in double figures from midfield over the past two seasons, along with Manchester City sensation Phil Foden.

He is believed to have a £51m release clause in his current contract, and many believe a move to the Premier League is what he is apparently interested in doing in the summer.

Now among CHELSEA speculation – Kevin Strootman came out and backed his international teammate to make the big move: “Koopmeiners and Zirkzee are doing very well,” Strootman told Radio TV Serie A, transcribed by Tuttomercatoweb.

“Atalanta and Bologna are teams that should be treated with great respect. I read that many top clubs would like them, and they will also have their own ambitions.

“These are players with extra quality and I hope they will also show it at the European Championships.

“I think then they can choose where they want to go. I’m sure they’re ready for the big leap.”

Koopmeiners, capped 21 times by the Netherlands, recently said he hoped Atalanta would be able to get a “good deal” from selling him in the future.

I hope that Atalanta will get a good salary for me because I had a great time in Bergamo,” he added.

– I would be lying if I said I hadn’t heard about interest from Juventus and Premier League clubs.

CHELSEA NEEDS MARTINEZ –

Expert Darren Bent has said that Aston Villa stopper Emi Martinez is the goalkeeper Chelsea need.

CHELSEA he made some big signings last summer that they believe will help the club fight for a Champions League place and perhaps add some trophies to the cabinet.

MESSINHO SIGNATURES –

Claims have emerged once again that Chelsea have agreed to bring Brazilian sensation Messinho to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

There has been a lot of transfer speculation over the past few weeks regarding the future of Messinho – a young Brazilian who is making exciting noises in his native Brazil.

It is clear that Barcelona and Chelsea are the two clubs leading the pursuit of the striker – with multiple reports suggesting that Chelsea have already agreed terms with the star ahead of his possible 2025 transfer.

Estevao’s representative is “determined” for Estevao to join Chelsea instead of Barca and it looks like Pochettino’s men are close to signing the striker.
